Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn’t photograph my outfit, today. To be fair, you’re not missing much. I went casual, with jeans, t-shirt, sweater vest and boots. It’s Thanksgiving…this day is meant for eating!

That’s okay, because I have better news to share with you. My good friend Peter is my hero of the year. He offered to make me a new site (something I’ve been waiting for years). I accepted his offer, thinking nothing of it, since several people offered the same and never came through. Lo and behold, he sends me the template a mere couple of days later. It took me awhile to transition hosting services, but after I did that (and accidentally deleted my old site in the process), I woke up to a new site. And I really like it. It’s pretty and simple and came complete with a handmade tutorial that made it so easy for me to understand. Peter, you win friend of the year!

With today being Thanksgiving, I didn’t get a chance to finish putting everything up in the store, so there is a place holder right now. But I am very excited to get everything back up and running within the next couple of days. Here is a [cropped] screen capture of the main page:

Anyway, I’m grateful for many things in my life, but today I am super grateful for the tremendously wonderful timing of Peter’s site design. I mean, I deleted an entire site. Who does that? I had it backed up, but the hard drive crashed. This is how everything works in my life…everything I touch breaks. I was in need of a new, prettier site anyway, but without it I would have been punching myself in the face.

Thank you, Peter!

p.s. How did you spend your Thanksgiving? Bobby and I had Lane (our old roommate) over for dinner and we ate way too much. Homemade mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, zucchini casserole, green bean casserole (notice the trend), cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. I have to say, it was a pretty awesome dinner. Lane and Bobby are great cooks! I contributed with green bean casserole…I am the loser at life.
