Lock and Key

Here’s a rundown of my day: blah outfit, more bad news from Tekserve, yelling at strangers on the street (they were making gross comments and I was already in a mood), the garment district, a picnic-style lunch with Catherine and Bobby and pretending that Tekserve didn’t give me such bad news. I was supposed to go there today, but I’m just not in the mood to deal with it. They sent an email that basically said, “We were able to retrieve everything, except for all of your photos. And this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this.” So, I have no idea what they were able to retrieve – maybe my music? Which, of course, is already backed up anyway. But my programs, my site, my photos (biggest bummer)…gone. The kicker is that they told us they were 99% sure they could get everything off for me, and that it would take 3-4 days. Two weeks later, I have come to find out that they were overly confident. Apparently, for an additional $600, I have a 7 in 10 chance to recover more data…but considering there 9 to 1 odds weren’t in my favor, I think I’m going to cut my losses and move forward.

I didn’t even like my outfit today; I was in a rush. Excuses, excuses.

Buuuut! I received this lovely little necklace in the mail, from Anirtak, and I love it. It’s so cute and dainty. The best part is, it’s only $10 at her Etsy shop.

The rest of my night will be filled with work. Is it weird that I’m looking forward to it? Work is the least stressful thing in my life; I love it.
