Coney Island

Kimberly has been visiting for the past week! Unfortunately, I have been sick most of the time, but she has been training for the Truth campaign, for Warped Tour.  She was picked out of  1,500 people, which is pretty amazing – I think it’s a testament to the type of friends I have:) If you go to Warped, stop by the Truth truck and say hello! She promises free goods.
Before her interview, we made a little trip to Coney Island. I was really sick, and I attempted to trick myself into feeling better. It didn’t totally work, but just getting out was enough of a boost. We took some pictures for the site, and generally just goofed off. Kim bought a $6 lollipop, fulfilling her dream of being photographed with a ridiculously oversized lollipop. Shoot for the stars, Kim!

For the record, I would never wear an outfit like that in public, under normal circumstances…it was just for the pictures. I rarely show my torso – I even wear one piece bathing suits! The other outfit was my outfit for the day.

Outfit Details:

On Kim: All clothing items are available now, at Postlapsaria.com
On me: (peachy outfit) Vintage cropped blouse, skirt available at Postlapsaria.com (other outfit) Blouse and skirt made by me, thrifted heels.

Please make sure to check out my site – I listed ten new, handmade items! I’ll be listing a lot more vintage and accessories [late] tonight and tomorrow. Please support me and spread the word; we’re about to move and moving is expensive!

  1. I am so jealous of that lollipop!

You & Kim are both so gorgeous and definitely look like you're having a great time.

Are you planning on moving within NY or to a different state? (hopefully I'm allowed to ask this!)

  2. Katrina: We're staying in New York – just moving to a different (and hopefully better) apartment:) New York kills you, though – a lot of the places we're looking at require first, last, security and broker's fees. Broker's fees are usually 10-12% of your annual rent. It's painful.

  3. i notice you have tattoos peeking out of your shirt…maybe you could do a feature on your tattoos? tattoos? you have, what you want…tips on getting them..etc?

  4. what a beautiful pictures! especially the jumping! the colors at the background make it so sweet! and i'm really getting hungry the lollypop!
    great outfits as well!

  6. Keiko, what kind of camera was used for these pictures?

  7. Ouch, so sorry to hear that you were sick. I hope you are well now.

The pics are gorgeous! Seriously, it seemed like I was just flipping through Teen Vogue. It's so summer-y!! And the outfits are sooo cool!

    And congrats to Kimberly =)

  8. You look like you had fun at Coney Island! You've also inspired me to dress up the next time I go so I can take fun pictures by the rides.

Even though you were uncomfortable baring your midriff, you can totally pull it off. Plus, you need to show off your tattoo sometime, right?
