Makeup, Outfits

I like watching the puddles gather rain.

I’m one of those weird people who loves the rain. Particularly, Florida rain. It’s usually paired with higher temperatures and sunlight, which is perfect for running around and playing. This particular day was a little more grey than I prefer, but I still had a good time. After we dried off, Roxy did my makeup and we goofed around with photobooth. It was a good day. I’m always smiling when I’m with my family…smiling or yelling. We don’t have a lot of in betweens:)

About the dress: I really love it (it has pockets!) but the cute little details keep falling off. Luckily, I am able to stitch them back on…but still, it’s kind of annoying to leave one behind every time I stand up.

Outfit details:
Elizabeth and James dress: free with Gilt credits
belt: thrifted
shoes: so broken
blazer: thrifted ages ago
vintage slip underneath: thrifted

Love love,
Keiko Lynn

p.s. I can’t wait until that awful farmer’s tan on my left arm fades. It’s also ugly, but mainly just a horrible reminder of heartache.

  2. I always know a dress is perfect when it has pockets. That seals the deal on yours. It's incredibly cute with all it's bottom ruffles.

Warm rain makes the whole idea of rain fun. I have this one memory of sitting on my front porch with my parents when I was about six. It was raining so hard that the drops bounced upward when they hit the ground, but there was a warm breeze, and we went and played on the blacktop in our swimsuits. It's a great memory.

  3. i love your makeup in this post! The dark eyes with the subtle lipstick is such an amazing combination.

Those photos you tweeted of Roxy doing your makeup are adorable. It's so amazing to see how well you get along with your sisters and your niece.

Similar to you, I love rainy days! I'm actually looking to get a big, clear, bubble umbrella like the one you've posted about in the past. I'm actually moving to a rainy city soon and will need to be well equipped for the weather. πŸ™‚

  4. Your dress is beautiful, I especially love the back of it! I wish I had the patience to do my makeup, on a normal day I run out with none on and then on days that I do put some on, it's usually nothing more than eyeshadow and mascara.

  5. I have to agree with you on the Florida rain. It's like it comes out of nowhere, storms like hell and the goes back to being a beautiful day. It always makes the day much better with the clean smell mixed with the salt in the air. love.

Did you dye your hair? It looks a bit darker…I really like it! But I liked it red too.

  7. BRIGHT ORANGE I love bright saturated colors, therefore I love this dress. It reminds me of goldfish, it's all fluttery and fun. And of course, your make-up is perfect, it goes with the outfit most lovely-like. The behind-the-scenes make-up photos are also very lovely, and cuuuute. πŸ˜€ (woah I used a lot of hyphens, woops)

  9. This dress is beautiful! A colour I could never pull off, I have sadly found. Some reds/oranges look okay with my red hair but not all.

Have to say that it looks stunning on you though – Lovely!!
