Makeup Monday: How To Apply Glitter Eye Makeup (pictures and video tutorial)

too faced chocolate bon bons and pink glitter eyes makeup tutorial by keiko lynn 1

Follow my step-by-step video tutorial on how to apply glitter eye makeup, featuring the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette and their handy Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Glitter Bonding Eyeshadow Primer to keep the loose glitter in its place. Keep in mind that fallout is inevitable, so you might want to apply your eye makeup before the rest of your face makeup — that way, you can wipe away the mess without ruining any of your previous work. I made the mistake of filming the final clip of the video before I cleaned it up, and didn’t catch it until I was taking photos. Don’t make the same mistake I did…or you’ll be painstakingly picking glitter off of your face, all day. Oops! Keep reading to check out the products and full video tutorial on how to apply this smokey pink and purple, glittery eye makeup!

  1. Glitter can be such a pain to apply! I love that your tutorial is super quick and easy to follow. I should try to do my eye makeup because the rest of my face when I use glitter eyeshadows, but I just can’t – I’m afraid it my foundation would not look even if I miss some areas around the eyes, I’d be too afraid to mess my eye look so I’d leave some space between it and the foundation, which would not look good I reckon!

    • I usually don’t bother, and clean up afterward. But if I’m doing something that will have a lot of fallout (like if I’m using MAC Carbon or glitter), I might do the top part, clean up, then do my face and go back in with the bottom lid colors/liner and blend it out. I rarely wear foundation anyway, though, so I usually just roll with it!

  2. Gorgeous! Thank you for posting this tutorial. I’m curious what brow products/colors you are wearing these days? I love the look!
