DIY Word Hair Clips

Sam has another tutorial for us to try, and this one is so much fun and easy to do! I’m a sucker for novelty hair accessories, and this DIY word hair clips tutorial is right up my alley. I’m currently on my way to Los Angeles, but I think I need to make a Miku hair clip, the second I get back. Want to make your own? Follow Sam’s step by step tutorial on how to make bright and colorful word hair clips, below:

what you need

  • Alphabet noodles
  • Super glue
  • Bobby pins or hair clips
  • Tweezers
  • Spray paint

DIY Word Hair Clips

  1. Plan out the words with alphabet noodles that you want to put on the hair clips.
  2. Put the clips on a piece of cardboard or cardstock.
  3. Use a small amount of super glue along the top of the hair clip.
  4. With your tweezers, carefully place the letters onto the clip. Allow to dry completely.
  5. Spray paint over the whole hair clip and allow to dry completely before placing in your hair.
