Endless Happy Hour

Ā

I usually get to visit my family in Florida several times throughout the year, but this trip is our first in over six months. It feels like forever since I’ve seen everyone, and I’ve been enjoying every minute of family time. Since we drove down, we were able to extend our trip for a couple of days — I do that a lot, when I’m here — and spend some extra time with my family and friends. When TGI Fridays invited us in for Endless Happy Hour and Endless Apps (it’s all about apps and zerts, am I right?), I was so excited to be able to bring my mom and sisters (and my friend Samara, who is an honorary family member) for some bonding time. It’s always great to be able to share the perks of the job with my family! And let me tell you, offer me a virgin strawberry daiquiri and mozzarella sticks and I will be there with bells on. Throw in some happy hour specials and my whole family is coming with. And to this particular TGI Fridays in Coral Springs, where I spentĀ manyĀ a high school night with a table full of friends — it makes me very nostalgic.

Endless Happy Hour is going onĀ at TGI Fridays today from open til close, in celebration of 16+ hours of sunshine today, the Longest Friday of the year. There are lots of $4 and $5 drink specials, and if you ask my mom she will undoubtedly say you should get the Mai Tai, because that’s what she drank at the New Wave clubs back in the 80s, when she wore polka dot and stripe eye makeup and my grandma danced with a guy who had safety pins in his ears. She wasĀ alsoĀ getting really nostalgic;) Speaking of grandma, we missed her! She had a dentist appointment and couldn’t make it, which was a bummer because she loves happy hour and there is nothing more fun than when we are all together in one room. We just laugh, nonstop. It’s going to be tough to go back to NYC. Can’t I bring them all with me?

Thanks so much to TGI Fridays for having us and sponsoring this post. We had such a blast and appreciate the hospitality!
