Each moisturizer has a different texture: the grape has a matte quality, while the blueberry is extra wet. Citrus and Pomegranate are creamier.

Korean skin care and Korean Beauty in general is popular for a reason: they’re known for innovation. I recently attended the US launch of Korean skin care brand Frudia, which is now available at Peach & Lily and CVS (!!! K-Beauty section at CVS?!?!?!), and had a chance to talk to the people behind the brand — who came all the way from Korea to teach us about their products. I also got to meet and pick the brain of Alicia Yoon, the founder of Korean Beauty site Peach & Lily, and I can tell you that no, she has no visible pores and yes, I want to know all of her secrets. Alicia helped bring Frudia to the US market, so naturally I wanted to know all about it.

The thing I found most fascinating about Frudia is that their formulas’ main (very first listed) ingredients are fruit extract, instead of water. Frudia usesĀ a low-temperature extraction technique, R VITA Wā„¢, toĀ keep the natural nutrients and antioxidantsĀ intact. They utilize the whole fruit (including seeds and skin), as well as the original color, scent, and texture. To give you an idea, the Blueberry Hydrating line includes 77-81% blueberry extract in each product. Each line is centered around a fruit and their corresponding benefits: pomegranate for anti-aging, blueberry for hydration, green grape for oil and pore control, and citrus for brightening. And yes, they all smell heavenly. Each line has a toner, serum, moisturizer, and sheet mask — so pick your concern and shop the corresponding color/fruit. TheĀ price point is really great:Ā toners are $14.99, serums are $21.99, moisturizers are $19.99, and sheet masks are $1.99.
