I don’t think I’ve ever had a pair of jeans that I’ve worn more than theseĀ Madewell 10 inch rise jeansĀ — the very same ones that I featured in this post as my absolute favorites. They’re my version of perfect jeans: stretchy but substantial fabric, a higher rise (but notĀ too high of a rise), dark wash. They’re so comfortable and versatile; I must wear them at least 3 times a week. Ā I think I might buy them in another wash. I’ve learned that if I really, really love a piece of clothing or pair of shoes, I should probably buy a backup or something very similar. Case in point: theseĀ Free People “Mercury” mary janes. I ended up buying aĀ very similar pair in red that I absolutely love, and they were (and still are) on sale. Want to see how much I’ve worn these? Here’s just a sampling. See the shoes styled differently in these posts:

On a totally different topic, Miku would be horrified if she knew I was sharing these photos that were takenĀ before her appointment at the groomer, but I won’t tell her if you won’t. She is back in Princess mode with a stunning new hair cut, but she was overdue when these photos were taken. Ever since she had to get her back shaved at the vet (from a spider bite! Yikes!), her hair just won’t grow back. She has hypothyroidism and even with her medication, which was just upped after her last checkup, her hair texture is completely different — brittle and weird — and growth is really patchy. Any tricks out there for helping? With her pancreatitis scare, I’m hesitant to introduce any fatty supplements, but I’d love to know if anyone has experience and any suggestions. At the moment, we’re just keeping her trimmed with a lion cut and she looks pretty cute. But Winter Is Coming (I finishedĀ Game of Thrones! Can you tell?) and she’s going to have to wear a lot of coats to make up for her lack of hair.
