bareMinerals BAREPRO Concealer and Foundation

I teamed up with bareMinerals to show you their BAREPRO 16 Hour Full Coverage ConcealerĀ and BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid FoundationĀ for the days when you want a little extra coverage. First photo: just moisturizer, no concealer or foundation. Second photo: bareMineralsĀ BAREPRO 16 Hour Full Coverage ConcealerĀ under eyes, around nose, on center of the chin and blended. Third photo:Ā bareMineralsĀ BAREPRO 16 Hour Full Coverage ConcealerĀ andĀ bareMineralsĀ BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation. No blush/highlight/contour so you can see the product by itself.

I love makeup, but you all know by now that my number one is great skin. It’s pretty rare that I’ll wear full foundation; most days, I’m using concealer where needed (or maybe a tinted spf or moisturizer) and then put on some blush to give me a glow-from-within look. There are definitely days when I want that flawless, porcelain skin kind of look — like on nights when I’m doing a more dramatic smoky eye, or for a special occasion that calls for the most. My daily preference, however, is for my skin to look likeĀ skin, freckles, moles, pores and all. Except, I want it to look like the best version of my skin. I’m already a fanatic about my skin, but I need a little help even on my best days. A little concealer under my eyes (dark circles), around my nose and on the center of my chin (some broken capillaries / redness) can instantly give my face a brighter, more awake look without covering up the rest of my skin. And if I have a blemish 0r two, I’ll pop some concealer on that, too!

BAREPRO 16 Hour Full Coverage Concealer isĀ formulated with 30% pigment, so it’s full coverage — but the product is creamy and glides on smoothly, and doesn’t have a cakey finish. Since I have dark circles (I blame a life of insomnia!), I apply directly from the tube, under my eyes. A little goes a long way! Then I pat and roll my ring finger to blend it out. Blending is key, especially since I usually don’t pair with foundation. It comes in 15 different shades to match your skin tone (the foundation comes in 30!), so find your best match and blend, blend blend! I use what’s leftover on my finger to dab around my nose, and then apply a tiny bit to my chin where I have some redness. It’s also non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic, so I don’t feel bad about covering up any blemishes with it. If I need to cover up a spot, I use a brush instead of my finger, for more precision.

As you can see from this photo, theĀ BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid FoundationĀ will give you that extra-flawless look if you want more coverage! I demonstrated without any blush, but since you’re essentially making your face into a blank canvas (and this has a matte finish), I would add in some color with a rosy cheek or subtle contour and highlight. I prefer applying liquid foundation with a damp sponge to sheer it out a little, and it makes it blend seamlessly.

What do you think? Do you have a conceal-where-you-need-it approach or do you love the look of foundation?
