I love dressing for Fall, because I’m a lover of finding balance (yeah, right). Chilly enough for a light jacket and boots, but just warm enough to forgo tights? Yes, please – that’s what I want. Here’s how I’ve been taking advantage of this all too brief season: repetition. I’ve worn this outfit [or something like it] more than a few times. It’s comprised of some of my favorite things, old and new. The boots are possibly my most worn pair of shoes in the closet, the playsuit has been in heavy rotation since I bought it, and I gave new life to the denim jacket with a vintage patch. My bags are getting progressively smaller, which is why I left the oversized frames at home, in favor of a new, more compact pair that I recently received. I usually gravitate toward more extreme shapes in eyewear, but what draws me to these “Milo” sunglasses by Bobbi Brown is how classic and streamlined the design is. I love how they’re halfway between a wayfarer and a cat-eye, so they still have that lift at the corners. Naturally, I had to pair all that black with some pops of color (patch, bag, lips). I know I’m in New York, but I’ve never been able to subscribe to the all black uniform. Too many shedding animals, you know?
