I love unexpected color combinations, like this mix of blush and marigold. Or maybe it’s just unexpected to me, because I sometimes fall into a routine of specific color stories. I found this blouse at a thrift store in Florida, and I think I’ve worn it more than any new/full price blouse I own. I’ve worn it with cutoffs, boyfriend jeans, an a-line button up skirt, high waisted skinnies, and how you see it here. Don’t overlook an 80s top with aggressive shoulder pads…sometimes just a simple removal is enough, or you can make minor alterations at the shoulder seam, so it sits properly on your shoulder (which can transform a dated top or dress…something I do a lot). This one has a relaxed fit and no shoulder seams, so I just used a seam ripper to get rid of the padding. Considering I spent maybe $3 on it, I’d say it was a good investment.
