Keiko and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week

This week has been awful. Every time I say, “It can’t get worse than this,” it does, so I’ve stopped saying it and started accepting that yes, it can and it probably will. Since my dreadful week officially started on Sunday afternoon (following a lovely picnic day) I can only hope that’s where it will end. It makes sense, since Monday is the day I should be receiving my new phone and restored MacBook (fingers crossed).

About backing up… most of my photographs and important data are backed up – I do have an external hard drive. But a crucial memory card worth of photographs was corrupted in the transfer, and a few others were never transferred at all. Here’s the irony – remember how my MacBook crashed right when I was backing up my files? It did it again, only I hadn’t even connected the drive, yet. It was just sitting there, on the table. Why do I get punished for trying to prevent such an atrocity?!Ā
I know Kim filled you in on the rest of my misfortune, so I’ll spare you the details. Suffice to say, I haven’t been in the best of moods. I’m trying to laugh it all off, but it’s proving to be rather difficult. I just keep telling myself that Monday is my day. Monday is my day, despite my persistently leaking ceiling. I’m just grateful that my grandpa is out of the hospital and that my great grandma is in good hands. Ā
Love love,
Keiko Lynn
p.s. We just got a new modem, after waiting around for time warner (they don’t deserve proper capitals) for approximately 7 hours (they were supposed to be here at noon…it’s past seven).
p.p.s. Friends/family: If you need to reach me, call Bobby.
