Pumpkin Patch

On a bit of a whim, Bobby, Kimbly and I went to Colonial Springs Farm on a hunt for pumpkins and apple cider donuts. They didn’t have the donuts (they’re only available on weekends) but the pumpkins were plentiful. They had little radio flyers to pull your pumpkins with. We also used it to carry our purses!

They also had corn mazes, a petting zoo, raw honey (we walked by the tiny apiary), fresh apple cider and homemade pies! We left with pumpkins and the best apple pie I’ve ever had. The three of us devoured it in one day. Kim and I keep looking at each other and saying, “Why aren’t we supermodel thin again? I don’t get it.” She’s my food enabler (like Brendon and Jason in Home Movies). I need to get it together. But it was sooooo good. SO GOOD.

While searching for our pumpkins, we saved this little slug from destruction. Surely he would have been crushed underneath that pumpkin! Bobby and I named him Wiggles. Kim is upset because she thinks his name is Fluffy. Two to one. Wiggles it is!

The farm was quite magical. I’m kind of glad that we were all overdressed for the occasion, because it made it that much more enjoyable. It was like something from a storybook. I think we’ll be going back this weekend to hunt down those donuts!
