I dare you not to smile.

A little while back, Roxy Mae looked at her mom with a sad face and said, “But I’m not a real princess. I’m a pretend princess.” She felt defeated.

Well, I have good news for you, little Roxy Mae. Pretend princesses are the best and happiest princesses out there. Kingdoms fall and the riches wear thin, but that simply isn’t so in the magical world of make believe.

Plus, real princesses don’t have unicorns.

Love love,
Keiko Lynn

  1. I found your blog just yesterday evening and spent all night reading through it backwards all the way to 2008. I'm absolutely smitten with your style – both writing and fashion! You're absolutely adorable and I want to keep you in my pocket like a little ray of sunshine.

  2. awww a budding fashionista!
what I would give for a trampoline in my own back yard…..I would take my stylefyles photos on it EVERY day.

How fun! I love the lighting in these pictures~

  3. Honestly, these pictures makes me want to revert back to the good old days of carefree reverie in the summertime. Thank you so much for bringing this back. Since I have a petite cold right now, this has made my day! Take care and much much love!

  5. I see I'm not the only person to have found your blog and been so smitten that I trolled the archives all in one go ๐Ÿ˜› I'm coming closer to starting a blog of my own, because of seriously cool people like you!

  6. I have a niece. she's 1 year and 8 months old.
my sister goes to college in another town and it was summer vacation here in brasil, so my sister and my niece (Maria Eduarda) were here, during vacations.
now that my sister already went back to her city we all miss them a lot. and everytime I see the pictures of your niece I keep imagining how my niece is going to look like when she's older.
she's already the cutes thing ever. She likes to steal our lipsticks and try to them on her.
I know this has nothing to do with nothing, but seeing pictures of roxy mae really made me smile #fact and reminded me of her.

  7. Laura,
I really feel for you; it's so difficult to be far away from your loved ones, especially kids. They grow up so quickly. I was looking at pictures of Roxy from when I first moved up here and she was so little. I try to go home as much as possible so I can see all of the kids. I hate missing out on them growing up…
