Dreams unwind; love’s a state of mind.

The combination of sheer black, draped fabric and lots of lace makes me think of one of my mom’s favorite female vocalists, Stevie Nicks. Though my outfit is a lot less dramatic than her legendary getups, I had Fleetwood Mac stuck in my head all day. It’s not all that uncommon for me – I’m actually quite a fan of their music. For some reason, I get teased a lot for that, but I couldn’t care less.

Since I made this dress up as I went along, I’m now wondering if it was a subconscious influence from my playlist. Sometimes that happens! Either way, I’m very happy with the outcome. I’ve actually worn this dress twice since I made it, in different ways. I just forgot to take a picture of the first one. I’m sure it will be in heavy rotation – I love how comfortable it is. Comfort, believe it or not, is really important to me. It’s the same reason I carry emergency flats in my bag!
