A lot of you have emailed me or tweeted about it, but I forgot to post about it. I’m in this month’s Glamour! They asked me to style a Chanel jacket, which made me insanely nervous. Not because it was going to be featured in a magazine, but because that freaking thing cost over 14 times what I paid for my last car. Okay, so that might also mean I had a ridiculously cheap car, but still. I was afraid to touch it, let alone wear it and depreciate its value. Such a beauty! Luckily, I returned it in the same pristine condition in which it was delivered. This might seem like a small feat to you, but to those who know me best or have witnessed my level of clumsy (hi, Christine! Thanks for helping me clean the food off my skirt at last night’s formal dinner), this is a goddang miracle.

See how others styled this beautiful jacket here.

Outfit Details:
Chanel jacket: on loan for a styling session
belt: beacon’s closet
skirt: Postlapsaria, self made
shoes: Steve Madden
ring: vintage, from my mom
(my good friend Samara did my hair in Heidi braids)

  1. You look amazing! I love how you styled it – it looks adorable with that mustard belt and the layered skirt!

And I know exactly what you mean. Many times I've lusted after something beautiful but thought I couldn't justify buying something that cost half as much/twice as much as my cheapo car, haha πŸ™‚

  2. I love how you styled it! Definitely my fav look!

And yah, I would have been so scared to ruin that jacket. I don't have the best luck with expensive items. That's one of the reasons I can't justify buying anything expensive! I'd be too scared to wear it!

Really great job though and congrats on being chosen πŸ™‚

  3. I was so excited when I opened my glamour and saw you in there! how exciting! I would be equally terrified of damaging such an expensive jacket too, I'm glad it all turned out well for you.

  4. Oh man…I would've been nervous as all get out to touch that thing.

While in Paris I almost bought a vintage Chanel cardigan at some Flea Market/Antique Market in Nice. But it wasn't my size (size Giant) and I didn't think it fair to take something I'd never wear. But it was beautiful and about $200 CAD.

  5. Wow. This is one of the first I'm not a fan of and only because of that jacket. :X Not a fan at all of the jacket itself but you always look fantastic, girl. πŸ™‚

  6. Yes, I did see that feature floating around the internet– what a tres chic styling, yet staying true to your style with a signature girly bow. πŸ™‚

And it's for people like you and me that they made those Tide on-the-go pens. I know I definitely need them now and again!

  7. How fun! Congrats on keeping it clean. I hope you didn't have a small heart attack in the process. I'm sure that I would have.

You look ravishing, but you don't need Chanel for that πŸ™‚

  8. That jacket is absolutely gorgeous! I looked through how the others styled it and I have to say, hands down, yours is my favorite! Especially how you added a yellow velvet belt, adorable! You are always so well put together.

  9. Saw this just today! It might sound cheesy but I think Glamour is the best women's mag – cutting edge, classy and still so, so pretty. Kudos on being featured in a respected mag!

  10. you're so adorable, and always pretty… but… the bow belt – it just doesnt fit.
    The yellow colour of it
it just doesnt work with the rest – with the white, blue and the nude colour of the shoes…
Sorry πŸ™ you had much better looks :)))))

but – your hair is really great πŸ™‚ Love that Heidi style πŸ™‚ so fun and cute πŸ™‚

  11. So Cool! I love it!! geez i would also be uber nervous about having a jacket that expensive in my possesion. So happy for you, you look amazing as always!

  12. This is sooo awesome! I'm so happy that you got this opportunity. You look great. How did you do your hair like that? Maybe you should post some hair tutorials as well.
