Girls’ Gathering

Outfit Details:
feather clutch – borrowed from Coach
vintage sweater – gift from my mom
Betsey Johnson dress – Beacon’s Closet, borrowed from Kim
Steve Madden Caryssa heels – originally purchased at Nordstrom, generously replaced by Steve Madden

These photos were obviously taken while I was in Florida.  I am not that crazy in cold weather and the pesky gradient from my old, faulty camera should be a giveaway. When Coach sent me this ladylike clutch, I decided to wear it to an equally ladylike occasion: my sister’s bridal shower. It was held at my grandma’s house, whose brick foundation and front walkway match my shoes. How convenient! Tessa and I sneaked away for a few pictures before returning to the gathering. It was a fun bridal shower, but the bachelorette party was really fun. Drag queens on divas night, everyone (including mom and grandma) dancing onstage, grandma ordering a shot called “kick that b**** to the curb” – what could be better?!

p.s. This post reminds me, I never published the rest of my sister’s wedding photos. I have them all saved in a draft…I will post them. Better late than never!

  1. You look like a super chic Alice in Wonderland, I love it!

I laughed out loud at your grandma/shot story, I could so see my grandmother doing the same… she's a roll with the punches kind of lady πŸ™‚

  2. You look absolutely gorgeous! And your sisters wedding shower must have been so exciting!

My sister is getting married next year and I'm maid of honor! Just thinking of the plethora of fashion and parties makes so so excited!

Your shoes are so gorgeous by the way.

    Grace x

  3. The dress is really sweet, it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland!
I have a similar clutch too from ASOS and I love it! Although its loosing its feathers slowly so I think I'm going to have to buy some more to repair it!

  4. That dress in peach and off white was my wedding dress two years ago! LOVE IT. My friend Tiffany is getting married in April and was thinking of having her bridesmaids wearing that dress in different colors. I have my fingers crossed, how often does a girl get to wear her wedding dress twice?!
