Bobby, Miku, and I took a few days to unwind in the Catskills. Nothing makes me feel more refreshed than time in the country, and this was no exception. When we arrived at the house we rented, we had to sled down the very long driveway, since it was too steep and slippery to drive the whole way. No cell phone service, thirty minutes to the nearest store, and ninety-five acres of privacy. For someone who lives in a busy city, that’s a dream come true. We spent our time exploring the property, watching Miku roll down hills of snow (she was in her glory), and sipping hot chocolate by the fire. On the second day, I was kind of bummed to wake up to rain and melted snow – but as you can see from these pictures, the snow came back and it was beautiful. The next day was a winter wonderland of blankety snow, all over again. It was perfect.
