While Kimbly and I were down in New Orleans, we made sure to eat all of the things. In fact, that was our number one priority. I want to do a NOLA city guide, but really it should be done by my friends who live there, since all of the recommendations come from them (hi, Lauren and Andi!) With their recommendations, I have had the best meals, experiences, and hotel stays – we most recently stayed at The Old No. 77 Hotel and Chandlery, which I absolutely loved (more on that, later). After a delicious lunch at St. Roch Market, where we sampled dishes from several vendors (that’s the way to do it), we headed to Creole Creamery with our friend, Erin. It was delicious, but I barely made a dent in my cotton candy and strawberry ice cream. I had to turn to Kim, the ice cream pro, to finish what I started…which is pretty embarrassing, because there was a group of kids who were eating literal buckets of ice cream, in an effort to make it to the wall of fame. I will never make it to the wall of fame, but at least I remembered to wear my ice cream dress to the ice cream shop. We take this stuff seriously, okay?
