I told myself I needed more versatile solids / less prints in my closet, but that didn’t stop me from going for something that made a big statement. Hey, it’s solid. Never mind the gigantic bell sleeves and swing fit; it’s versatile enough for me! I have plenty of t-shirts for days when I want something totally basic, so I tend to fill my closet with pieces I really love — and it’s rare that I gravitate toward anything that isn’t at least a little unique. I paired this Chicwish bell sleeved top with a thrifted skirt, my favorite over the knee boots, of which I have many, and a vintage neck scarf. I’ve never been that big on wearing lots of accessories, partially out of laziness (if I’m being completely honest) — I let my tattoos and makeup be my accessories, half the time — but I love a scarf. I’ll wear it on my neck, in my hair, or tie it around my bag until I need it. It’s the easiest and cheapest way to dress up an outfit. Speaking of basics, on my t-shirt and jeans days (which are more often than you’d think), I’m almost always wearing a scarf in one way or another. It’s not quite a top with bell sleeves, but it does keep it from being too basic!
