Aromi “Rose Gold” Metallic Matte Liquid Lipstick

I can’t remember how I stumbled across Aromi’s Etsy shop, but once I was there, I found myself clicking through their liquid lipstick shades with major heart eyes. The one that really caught my eye was a Rose Gold liquid lipstick, a metallic rose with flecks of gold for a beautiful duochrome effect. To see what I mean, check out the animated gif, below:

Liquid lipstick formulas – let alone metallic ones – can be tricky. Most brands have gotten better and better with their formulas, coming a long way from the nail polish-esque feeling of yesteryear, but it still takes some trial and error to find the best on the market. I don’t want anything too thick or drying, and I want it be long lasting without caking up or cracking. This liquid lipstick is thin yet opaque, dries quickly without feeling like it’s suffocating my lips, and lasts a long time. I’m always hesitant to say it lasts all day, because while it can last all day, I just hate the feeling of old lipstick. I prefer to remove halfway through the day (or before/after eating) and reapply, to avoid that gunky feeling. If you eat anything with any oil, it will break down the formula and leave it a little patchy. And even if not, it just feels much nicer to remove, moisturize, and reapply.

Anyway, I digress. My point is that the formula is comfortable and long-lasting. Plus, the metallic rose gold color is gorgeous and unlike any others I have in my collection. If you’re looking for a pretty new lip product to try out, give this rose gold liquid lipstick a shot!

This reminded me strongly of Trinket liquid lip by Sugarpill, though lighter and cooler in tone.
