Happy 13th Birthday, Miku!

I hope everyone had a happy Easter weekend! Easter has always been extra special to me, because it’s when I celebrate Miku’s birthday. Since I adopted her, I don’t know her exact birthday, but I got her on my trip home for Easter. I almost named her Bunny, but my mom vetoed that. Probably because I already named a cat Puppy, and we once had a mouse named Mousey, and I would eventually adopt a cat and name him Kitty Boos. And of course there was that cat I rescued and named Little Little, so. You can see why my mom didn’t trust me to name any animals. Not only did she learn from my past, she could also see into my future. I’m grateful my mom named her Miku, and even more grateful that I’ve spent the last 13 years with her. She’s my best friend in the whole world, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion.

For her big 1-3 — oh gosh, I hope she doesn’t develop a teenager attitude — we took her to the dog park, got her lots of presents, and Bobby made her a pupcake (layers of foods she is allowed to eat). Little Schmoo, you are the best bunny pup I have ever known. Happy 13th birthday!
