It’s no secret that I’m not much of a gloss girl, but I do love how pigmented these Too Faced melted latex high shine liquified lipsticks are. I swatched every color (and the clear) and there are definitely some that are better performing than others. First of all, the clear was my favorite — it’s a really nice, smooth, not too heavy clear gloss. The darker shades — particularly “Bite Me,” “Bye Felicia,” and “Can’t Touch This” — are a little streaky and require a little more finesse. I think they would be better over a lipstick or lip pencil.

There were several shades I loved, with “Hopeless Romantic,” “Love U, Mean It,” and “Rated R” as particular standouts in terms of color, opacity, and ease of application. But my main issue was this: how do you keep pigmented glosses from getting all over your teeth? I love the red shade “I’m Bossy” but it was all over my teeth the second I smiled. Again, I’m not a gloss girl, so please tell me your secrets. There are some beautiful shades in here that I would love to keep wearing, but I don’t want to have to constantly check my teeth! Overall, these are truly as pigmented as they’re touted to be, and very comfortable (not sticky). If you’re okay with committing to RBF and not smiling or know the secret for keeping gloss from sticking to your teeth, you’re golden. There are some gorgeous colors, after all!
