Yesterday, I learned that this umbrella is much better suited for shielding myself from the sun than the rain. It does technically work for both — although it’s clearly meant as more of a prop, if you read the description — but the sides aren’t curved enough to keep meĀ completely dry. It’s so cute, but I guess I’ll save it for the beach! It definitely comes in handy at the beach.

Despite all of that, I have to say that I was still in better condition than Bobby, who was soaking wet because of his umbrella aversion. For someone who owns approximately a dozen different umbrellas to choose from, it’s kind of funny that I am with a guy who has such a strong distaste for them. He’d rather get soaked than use an umbrella. Or, wear a couples poncho (imagine me rolling my eyes right now). Did you see my insta stories? It will still be up for awhile, if you want to see the horror that Bobby bought for us — which will never see the light of day, unless I lose a horrible bet. I still can’t believe he bought that! I was laughing so hard. Won’t use an umbrella but will happily wear a two person poncho with no shame. Yep, that’s my boyfriend;)

Umbrellas and couples ponchos aside, this outfit features several of my wardrobe MVPs. I wear these ConverseĀ all the time (although my classic pink ones will always be my favorite) and most of you already know this dress is a favorite. The vintage Coach backpack (barely visible, I know) is such a favorite of mine that my mom found the exact one for a great deal and bought it for me, so I’d have a backup. She knows how I destroy my bags…and shoes, for that matter. Ā I think a lot of people assume I never wear the same thing, but I have so many pieces I wear on repeat. If I don’t wear something often (and it’s not a super special vintage piece), it rarely stays in my closet. I like to keep it stocked with clothing, shoes, and bags that I want to reach for over and over, you know?
