Conair Bun-2-Done

I teamed up with Conair Bun-2-Done to demonstrate how to take your hair from a quick updo to soft, romantic waves with their heated, flexible wands. You can use them to easily create a bun (or 2! or 6!) and when you take them out, you’re left with soft waves. They’re hot rollers that you’ll actually want to go out in! I’m not going to lie, I was skeptical when I first heard about it. But it was so easy to do and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Plus, it’s a really handy tool for creating a perfect bun! Follow along to see them in action. Use code keikolynn10 for $10 off and free shipping on your purchase!

Start with dry hair. Pull your hair into a high ponytail and select your heated, flexible wand. They come in two different sizes, depending on the length and thickness of your hair. I went with the shorter one, since I have fine hair!

Roll your entire ponytail around the flexible wand. Clip the self-fastening ends together to form a circle. Spread your hair out to create a perfect bun!

Let sit as long as you want. The idea is that you can wear a bun throughout the day and take it out when you’re ready to let your hair down.

When you’re ready, unclip the ends and unroll, then shake/comb our your waves. Done!

There are 6 rollers in each package, so get as creative as you want. The more rollers you use, the more dramatic the end result. One bun = loose, beachy waves. Two mini buns = more defined waves. I love the look of two mini space buns, and was really happy with the waves from this look. I showed without any product or extra finessing, so you can see the true result.

Would you try Conair Bun-2-Done? Let me know your thoughts!

My hair always creases when I use an elastic! Do you have any tips for how to avoid that?

    • Keiko Lynn says:

Have you tried the ones that look like phone cords or the silk elastics?

  2. Sarah says:

This looks too easy! I’m intrigued….currently on amazon wishlist ?

HI!! I just had to comment that you look like such a pixie, and I love it! Also, I love that it has clips; it looks so much easier than a sock bun.

  4. amber says:

wow this is great. It takes one of the best things about space buns (the waves after) and just amplifies it! It looks like it works really well. Might have to add this to my wishlist!!
How long did you leave the mini bun rollers in for?

    • Keiko Lynn says:

Not too long, since I was taking pictures. Maybe 20 minutes?

I bought the original version of these some nearly 30 years ago when they were thinner and came in multiple colors and sizes.
Found some more in a Goodwill at least 2 years ago and a newer, larger version on Poshmark. I haven’t used them in a LONG time because of chronic illness, I wear wigs a lot but I love the ones I have and would love to have a set of these bigger ones..
My hair is much longer now and doesn’t require as many flexi rods.
Plus they would be great to revive old wigs!

    • Keiko Lynn says:

Yes, definitely! I didn’t even think of that. Because of the lower heat, they would be perfect for wigs. Thanks for the idea — I’m going to try that out!
