Swimsuit Roundup

I'm usually a one trick pony when it comes to bathing suits: I love a retro one piece. I used to absolutely hate bathing suit shopping, until I found that one swimsuit I wanted to live in. That was such a game changer for me! Once I found a style I was not only comfortable but confident in, I just bought variations of that. I still have that first swimsuit (and a couple of others in different colors/prints), but I've been trying out a few new ones, like this striped one with a cutout. It's a good feeling to feel confident in a swimsuit, you know? It's weird to think there was a time when I dreaded it. Now that I know what I like, I'm more open to experimenting and a lot less likely to feel defeated or bummed about the experience. After all, if I don't like it, I still have my trusty retro one piece bathing suits!

Speaking of, I rounded up some current favorites -- some that I own, some that are on my wishlist. Check them out! I hope you'll find a bathing suit that will give you many a happy summer.

Yes, I love that one! I didn’t include it on this one because it’s not really retro, but it is one of a few new ones that I love. I got the “long” one even though I have a short torso, because I didn’t want it to be as high cut. Worked like a charm! My favorite part is the snaps at the top. It makes it passable as a top!

How cute are these swimsuits. I especially like how all of them have an influx of the 60’s and 50’s style in them. All the way to the shape and style of the swimsuits to the patter/print, and the bustier! My favorites would be the Matte Gingham Bikini and the Gingham Tie-Front Swimsuit. I also like how the colours are so light and soothing to the eye!
