Florals and Foliage

Well, I think it’s pretty obvious that Fall is my favorite for dressing…and weather, and nature’s beauty, and just overall for everything. Bobby, Miku, and I came across this beautiful state park while wandering around outside of the city, as we often do. It was absolutely stunning, with leaves all bright orange and red. I sometimes wonder why it can’t always be so beautiful, but I suppose its fleeting nature makes it all the more magical.

Now, about this outfit. I’ve had the hat for several years (in several colors), and it still remains a Fall and Winter fave. The 90s floral skirt has also been in my closet a long time; I bought it at a thrift store years ago and have styled it multiple ways: with a striped shirt, a chunky sweater, a tee and moto jacket, with a cami and coat.

I have a feeling this coat will be worn just as much, since it’s basically a coat/sweater hybrid that can be worn so many ways. I’ve been gravitating toward longer coats, lately — even though my closet is full of shorter styles, I find that many of the current ones catching my eye have a little extra length. This one might not be warm enough for chillier, true Winter days — but at least its roomy enough to be layered over a sweater or a moto jacket!
