Are you team spooky or cute Halloween decor? I’m more into cute than creepy, although I do like things that are a little more hauntingly beautiful (like our bedroom’s year round decor). But more than just cute, I love colorful!

I don’t know if I could love our guest room more than when it’s all decked out in colorful Halloween decor. Halloween is my favorite time of year — I think most of you know that, by now — and if I’m going through the trouble of pulling out my decorations, I want to enjoy them for more than a few weeks.

What I love about our colorful, cute Halloween decor is that it fits in seamlessly with our regular decor. It doesn’t just feel like an afterthought. I have been collecting Pinkoween and other cute Halloween decor from HomeGoods for several years, a few items at a time. It has given me a thoughtfully curated collection of decor to turn back to every year. I’m at the point now where it’s a one in, one out kind of policy, so I have to really love something to bring it home. But as I cycle things out here and there, they find new homes with my sisters — nothing goes to waste. We are a Halloween-loving family!

I still have my more “traditional” Pinkoween decor to put out in the rest of the house, but I’m — believe it or not — waiting until October 1st to put the rest of it out. It’s called balance, my friends!
