Spirit Halloween recently sent me a grab bag and a gift card to their store, and asked me to use their accessories (along with pieces from my own closet) to create a couple of costumes. I rarely buy a head-to-toe costume – although their store has those, too, if you’re looking for them! –  I prefer to utilize as much of my own closet, as possible. It’s amazing what a few little accessories can do for an otherwise normal wardrobe: a pair of cat ears, paws, and a mask make a striped mini dress into a Cat Burglar costume, and when I added some creative makeup, a ruffled collar, and harlequin tights to a tulle dress, it transformed me into a Harlequin Doll. I had so much fun coming up with these two looks, and had a tough time narrowing down my myriad options, when I went to the store. Some other options I considered: a unicorn, Snow White (duh), and Minnie Mouse (double duh). I actually ended up buying some Minnie Mouse accessories, just because I couldn’t resist…but I still haven’t decided on my actual Halloween costume. Bobby and I love Halloween, and always have some sort of couples theme. If you have any ideas, let me know!
