When the temperature rises, you’ll generally find me in one of three getups: an easy dress, a retro one piece, or denim cutoffs and a thrifted shirt.  A pair of high waisted Corey Lynn Calter  shorts (like these, which I have in several patterns) will often take the place of cutoffs, but it’s a lot of the same formula. Throw on a dress, a bathing suit, or my summer wardrobe staples of all those soft, worn-in tops and shorts that fill my closet. Despite my love for the occasional higher priced item (usually an accessory, like sunglasses), I will always prefer shopping in thrift stores and vintage shops over any mall or department store. I love the hunt, and most of my favorite garments are second-hand. Finding thrift stores and flea markets is my favorite part of a road trip, especially since we’re somewhat lacking in the actual thrift store department. I bought this top at a thrift store in Florida, and the shorts in California. They’re the best kind of souvenirs.

Speaking of things I love, I have to mention this lip color. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are one of my favorite liquid lipstick formulas, and I have several go-to shades. I recently added “Berlin” to my collection, and I’m obsessed! It’s such a gorgeous shade of rose. I need to take some better pictures for you, because these backlit photos don’t do it any justice. I already showed it on my snapchat, but follow me on there and I’ll show it again, soon!
