Kim and I went to Disneyland with Urban Decay to celebrate their gorgeous Alice Through The Looking Glass collection, and we had the best time! Kim used to be anti-theme park (she still kind of is), because she hates rides. But most Disney rides are pretty tame and the park is full of treats — Kim’s favorite — and magical surroundings. It was just last year that we went there to celebrate Kim’s birthday, and now she’s officially an annual pass holder. Believe it or not, I don’t have an annual pass…kind of strange, considering how often I bring my nieces and nephews…but I’m always down for a day to dress in Minnie Style and live my best life with one of my favorite cosmetic companies. Kim ordered our custom ears from House Of Mouse (hers have a unicorn horn!) and came with a suitcase — A HUGE SUITCASE — for a two day trip to Disneyland. I don’t even have any words for her, sometimes. The girl will bring her entire closet and then decide to wear a dress that could have fit in her purse. Speaking of dresses, this one is a square dancing dress that she got at a vintage store, but now her new thing is hunting down the most colorful ones she can find on eBay, for a much better bargain. They’re exactly the silhouette she loves, and they come in some really fun fabrics!
While Kim’s favorite souvenirs are all edible and never make it out of the park (she is also living her best life…let her LIVE!), I like to head to the pin section! I think this Sleeping Beauty castle with the balloons is my favorite one, yet. I’m not one for a lanyard and I don’t trade, but if you’re looking for an affordable, memorable souvenir, check out their pins. You can even trade them with any Disney “cast member” (aka employee), so if you see one you like on one of their lanyards, just ask if they will trade with you! You can get some really unique, hard to find ones by trading, as they have a ton already in existence and are always updating the collection. It is especially fun for kids; trading pins and filling their autograph book with character signatures are an economical way to give them take-home souvenirs. My niece loves collecting pins and autographs — did you ever see my snapchat video (username: keikolynngroves) from when she met Cinderella and Rapunzel? She was practically hyperventilating. Visiting the park with friends is always fun, but there’s nothing like being there with a kid and seeing it through their eyes.
