Tea with Rebecca Minkoff
Last week, I attended Rebecca Minkoff’s tea party, hosted by Rebecca and her incredible team. We sipped tea and champagne, ate delicious scones and sandwiches, and got a sneak peek at their accessories and debut shoe collection. Food, fashion and great conversation is my favorite combination, so you can only imagine what a great time I had. Rebecca reminded me so much of my American Sign Language mentor, Allison Wonder. I may or may not have been tempted to have a conversation with her in ASL. I’m not creepy at all.
It was neat to see that, despite all of us having completely different styles, almost everything could be worked into any of our wardrobes. They pay attention to detail without making anything overly designed or fussy, and everything is exceedingly wearable. That’s what caught my interest in the first place, but the warmth behind the tightly knit operation makes everything that much more alluring. There’s nothing like getting to know the people behind a company; it can make or break a consumer’s experience. We were all lucky enough to go home with a purse of our choice, which may have made the experience that much more.
