It was fortuitous and quite convenient that we ended up in front of IKEA’s brightly colored bordering walls on a day I chose to wear such a vibrant getup; it was unfortunate that I wore a chiffon dress on such a blustery day. I had more than one Marilyn moment, but I can tell you that mine weren’t nearly as glamorous.
I guess I wasn’t thinking of function as much as I was trying to find mood-lifting colors. I had to compensate for the gloomy weather with happy hues. It’s just what I do.
