Ladies, if you want to bring the men in, wear an animal themed sweater. I’ve found the secret.

There’s something about a giraffe sweater that people simply cannot resist. I think I got more compliments on this kooky sweater than I ever have on anything else. I actually had a guy whistle at me. I was wearing a giraffe sweater and I got whistled at – which never happens in my normal life. The most I usually get is, “Hey you, move out of the way so I can see your hot friend!” True story. I like to think it’s because I put out a cat-call-and-I’ll-cut-you vibe. I also do not wear nearly enough giraffe sweaters.

Man-magnetism aside, my friend Vanessa’s comment was the best of the day: “I think it’s adorable. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing it, but it’s adorable.”

Clearly, she is just upset that it is vintage and therefore not readily available for her own closet. Her birthday is coming up…maybe I can track one down for her. A kitty themed one, perhaps?
