in a garden, or on a crowded avenue

I ended up going shopping for pants, the second most dreaded shopping trip (the first one being for bathing suits) in my opinion. I came out victorious, with a couple of purchases – these from Zara, and a pair for $20 at Anthropologie. Honestly, I hate trying on pants. Anything that fits my hips/butt/thighs has a huge gap in the waistband and anything that fits in the waist flattens out everything else. I hope these purchases – as well as the new jeans I added to my wardrobe – will hold me over for a good, long while. As for bathing suit shopping, I’ve had this retro-style one piece in my drawer for quite some time, now – and it has served me well on the very few occasions I have had to wear it. Biggest plus? I didn’t even have to try it on before I bought it. Online shopping, you have the most flattering lighting.
