Kim snapped these photos on the first day of our New Orleans trip, inside our suite at The Hotel Modern. Within less than an hour, it looked like we lived in the place; put five girls in a hotel room and tidiness is hardly an option. Our room was perfect for our group, with two bedrooms and three (well, 2.5) bathrooms. We went into it thinking we would have one bathroom, which would’ve been a rough situation. Coming from a family of all girls, I know what it’s like to share one bathroom amongst four sisters – and let me tell you, there are many less annoying things I can think of – so three bathrooms was an absolute dream.

We spent our last night in the hotel dancing to 90s music and displaying our best choreography: I taught them my fourth grade routine to Whoomp! (There It Is), which is incredibly inappropriate for a fourth grader but I thought I was super cool, and Helena showed us her super sweet moves to Ace of Base. We also threw a healthy does of NSYNC and NKOTB in there, and I’ll have you know that I know most of the dance to Tearin’ Up My Heart. I’d like to think my friends were highly impressed by my knowledge of 80s and 90s boy bands. Yeah, I was one of the cool kids, back then. I also had multicolor bands on my braces, baby bangs and rainbow shoelaces.  Jealous?

p.s. This post is not sponsored by The Hotel Modern (or anyone) – we went to New Orleans on a girls’ trip.
