For Bobby’s birthday, we made the short journey out to Blue Hill at Stone Barns for the ultimate farm-to-table experience. Before our dinner, which was both educational and very enjoyable, we explored the farm and had some hot chocolate and hot cider at their little cafe. It was such a wonderful way to spend Bobby’s birthday, even if it was a little chilly! If you live in the city and are looking for a quick day trip, I highly recommend visiting the farm, especially once it warms up. While dinner at the Stone Barns should be reserved for special occasions – it’s quite pricey – the grounds are open to the public Wednesday through Sunday (check hours and info here) and there’s outdoor seating at the cafe that would be perfect for warmer weather.
