Back To School Cuts With ARROJO
(Tessa and Ally are both wearing Bonlook Samba shades)
It’s hard to believe these two are starting their senior year of high school. Just typing that makes me feel so old. I know I say this all the time, but it seems like yesterday that I was picking Tessa up from pre-school, and then crying because she was starting kindergarten, and that felt too grown up. I’m going to save the weep-fest for another post, because this one is meant to be about haircuts, and it’s way too easy for me to get sidetracked and talk about how much I adore my little sister (I do).
Tessa and Ally have been coming to visit me in New York every summer, for the past four years. Tessa has visited ever since I moved here, but it’s so much more fun to have a friend along when you’re a teenager, and Ally has been a welcome addition. My best friend even calls Ally her mini-me! There’s nothing I enjoy more than playing the role of big sister, spoiling them and making sure they have a great summer, before school rolls in and ruins all the fun. We ate our way through NYC, shopped, went to a water park, to a show, the beach…I kept them busy! But one of the things I made sure to do was take them for their back-to-school haircuts, to get them started for their senior year. I took them to ARROJO, where I always get my hair done (by Tim and Flores). Ally got a trim with some added layers from Grace, and Tessa went for a dramatic transformation with Alis, chopping off her long locks into a shorter bob. As much as I loved Tessa’s long hair, I love her just as much with short hair. Thank you to ARROJO for being so great with the girls, and good luck to Tessa and Ally in their last year of high school!
p.s. Before Tessa cut her hair, we collaborated on some hair tutorials. Check out the Mermaid Waves tutorial and Milkmaid Braids tutorial.
