I’ve never been one to take my hair very seriously, but it’s an obvious tell for when I’m going through something crazy. I’m that stereotypical girl who goes out and makes a major change in her hair when things have gone awry. Something about getting control back, yadda yadda yadda. I chopped off my locks earlier in the year and immediately, everyone started asking what was wrong. But that’s the point in cutting it off, you know? I don’t want to talk about it; I want to deal with it on my own and this is how I do it. It’s funny how it becomes a symbolic ritual, something as silly as cutting your hair, changing the color. I’ll probably grow it out later in the year, but I’ve actually been enjoying the change. And the fact that I haven’t shaved it off means that things have been a lot better – that I’ve been better. There’s only so much you can cut off before you have to grab the buzzers. And I don’t think I could pull it off.
