It’s not Fall until I’ve visited a pumpkin patch, with a hot apple cider and donut in hand. Between being sick (for what felt like forever) and our busy/opposite travel schedules, Bobby and I didn’t have a chance to enjoy our autumn rituals of driving outside the city and through the changing foliage, and hunting for the perfect pumpkin to carve. Luckily, Google Photos invited us to their Google Photos Pumpkin Patch – in the middle of Time Square! – to pick out a pumpkin, enjoy the live music, eat some donuts and drink hot cider. I expected it to be insane, since it was right in the middle of Times Square (and open to the public / completely free) but it had such a good vibe. We had our pictures taken, which went up on a huge screen in Times Square, then picked out our free pumpkin and had it laser-etched with our likeness, by one of their machines. I should’ve taken a picture of it after we hollowed it out and lit it from within, but hopefully some of you saw it on my snaps. It was amazing!

P.S. If you don’t have the Google Photos App, do yourself a favor and download it! I’m newly obsessed. It’s a free app, and I was able to back up all 15,000+ photos from my phone (it took me a couple of days, since I only backed up with wifi). It automatically sorts your photos according to face recognition and search terms, and it’s incredibly intuitive. It makes searching for old photos so easy — especially when you have as many photos as I do. But the best part (to me) is that it makes animations out of related photos. So if you’re like me and take 10 photos and don’t delete the extras, it automatically puts them together in a fun little animation, like so:
