holiday gift guide: beauty
It’s Makeup Monday and the holidays are just around the corner, so I put together a beauty-focused holiday gift guide! Whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone else, a beauty newbie or a season veteran – there’s a little something for everyone:
- Urban Decay Vice4 palette, $60: Though you can’t go wrong with any of the Naked palettes, I chose the Vice4 for its versatility. With both brights and neutrals, there’s something for everyone. Want more neutrals, with just a couple pops of color? Try the Gwen Stefani palette.
- NARS Narsissist Blush, Contour, and Lip Palette, $59: This mini-dynamo boasts three blushes, a highlighter, bronzer, and lip gloss — everything you need to make your skin look healthy and glowing.
- Too Faced Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks, $36: I’m a big fan of the Melted lipsticks and their blushes, and this gives you three mini versions of each!
- Sigma Best of Sigma Brush Set, $92: If you’ve never used Sigma brushes, you’re in for a treat. The quality rivals brushes two and three times their price, and they have everything you can ever ask for.
- Cover FX Contour Kit, $48.50: This creamy contour and highlight kit comes in six varying skin tones, and comes with an instruction card for those who need the extra help (no judgment; it can be daunting).
- BECCA Afterglow palette, $39.50: I am mildly obsessed with BECCA products — especially their shimmering skin perfectors (both liquid and pressed). This palette comes with three of the latter, and two different blushes; you can sample six products for roughly the same price as a full size!
- Deborah Lippmann “Undressed” Nail Polish Set, $34: I know it may seem strange that a girl who loves her nail art salons would pick a set of neutral polishes, but there’s something so appealing about the simplicity. Plus, I never seem to have any subtle shades when I want them.
- MAC “Enchanted Eve – Copper” Eye and Lip Bag, $59.50: I know a lot of girls (including me) who are thrilled to get their hands on a MAC holiday set. I love these color coordinated eye and lip bags – and the copper one is [shockingly] still available.
- Stila Eternally Yours Liquid Lipstick Set, $39: A full size liquid lipstick can last you a very long time, and sometimes all you need is a mini. These are perfect for those holiday clutches that barely fit anything, and you get six different shades to try! My personal favorite: Patina. It’s one of my go-tos with a smokey eye.
- Glossybox Subscription, starting at $18.50 monthly: I know there are a million subscription boxes out there, but Glossybox is still my favorite. It’s a great way to try out new products each month, and they’re always full size or deluxe samples!
- Colourpop “Vixen” Lippie Stix set, $30: If you haven’t explored the wonderful world of Colourpop, prepare yourself for a long night of clicking through endless colors. With their affordable prices, you can mix and match and try a few, or buy a pre-selected set (like this) and save yourself the indecision.
