Valentine’s Day // 90s Heartthrob Pins DIY
Growing up in the 90s, obviously when Sam suggested doing a DIY tutorial for 90s Heartthrob Pins, I said yes! Celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend with your favorite heartthrob, my pick would be Jordan Catalano! Who was your 90s crush? Click through for the step by step tutorial by Aww, Sam!
- Oven-drying clay
- Pin backs
- Heart cookie cutter 1 1/2″ in diameter
- Mod podge
- Printable temporary tattoo paper
- Small brush
- Super glue
- 90s heartthrob printable (download here)
- Roll out your clay to 1/4″ thickness. Using the cookie cutter, cut out small hearts.
- Bake the hearts per the instructions on your clay.
- While the clay is baking, print out the 90s heartthrob printable on your temporary tattoo paper. Follow the instructions on your tattoo paper for how to use it. Cut the tattoos out following the shape of the heart.
- Once the clay has cooled, apply the tattoos to the top of the clay with water as you would with a normal temporary tattoo. Peel away the paper backing and smooth out any bubbles on the tattoo.
- With a small brush, brush a thin layer of mod podge over you image and allow to dry.
- Attach the pin back to the clay with super glue and allow to dry before wearing your new flair!
