Shimmery Pink Makeup Tutorial
I teamed up with eos for this shimmery pink makeup tutorial, using their own eos Sheer Pink Shimmer Lip Balm as the finishing touch. Though I normally go for a matte lip color, I’ve been switching it up with different finishes: sheer, glossy, creamy, metallic. It just depends on my mood. This particular color and finish reminds me so much of one of the first lipsticks I ever bought, back when I first started wearing makeup — which was in college, by the way! I was a bit of a late bloomer. Anyway, I was very into a pink, shimmery lip. It was an easy transition from a colorless balm; it gave my lips just enough color and dimension without being too bold (my, how times have changed). I used to pair it with pink and grey shadows and a rim of black liner, so I decided to throw it all the way back to my old go-to…only this isn’t a lipstick, it’s a sheer pink lip balm, so it’s a little more lightweight and moisturizing. - Apply primer all over eyelids.
- Sweep a shimmery pink shadow over eyelids.
- Pack a matte grey or black shadow in the outer v, using a small pencil brush.
- Blend all of the outer edges, and bring the grey/black shadow slightly inward to blend with the pink.
- Line your lower lash line and waterline.
- Smudge to smoke it out a little bit and diffuse the line.
- Line your upper lash line.
- Add mascara.
- Optional: Apply glitter to the pink shadow for a little extra shimmer.
- Finish the look with eos Sheer Pink Shimmer Lip Balm. Done!
