I bought this dress shortly before our trip to Charleston, and it just so happens that it matched my surroundings. I’ve always been drawn to pale blush and peachy hues, so this dress immediately caught my attention. Though I tend to wear a lot of shorter dresses, lately I’ve been loving longer lengths — but it does come in a shorter version. And speaking of longer lengths! I can’t believe how long my hair has gotten. The tutorial for this style can be found here. I’m not sure if anyone remembers how long my hair used to be, but it was long.
I was going through a really rough time, several years ago, and decided to chop it all off. It’s so cliché, but I am definitely that girl who makes drastic [superficial] changes when going through a tough time, and it sometimes involves my hair. I remember going to see my stylist Tim Dueñas and saying, “Let’s just shave it off.” Luckily, he said “Let’s start with a shorter cut…” and saved me from inevitable tears and regret. I would not look cute with a shaved head. I ended up really liking the short cut; it was fun and super easy to maintain. But now that I’m growing it out (partially because Tim moved and I go for cuts a lot less frequently), I’m enjoying the change and versatility.
