This beret was a Nordstrom Rack find. I temporarily pinned a tinsel pom pom to the back:)

Two new holiday treats: My Cuyana mini saddle bag and Sarah Flint red velvet Lady Slippers.Ā

This H&M sweater is so heavy, it doubles as a coat. I love it — it’s soft, warm, substantial, and the shape is great. But the static electricity was intense with my hair! FYI – I’m wearing the M/L option.

Bobby and I took some holiday photos around Rockefeller Center with James, and weĀ kind oflast year’s photos recreated one of , except I made him put his leg up, too. It’s the little things that make me laugh. You can’t take romance too seriously. Bobby was a good sport about it:)

If you knew how many things around the house (and by house I mean apartment) were purchased just for Christmas purposes, you might have a better understanding of how much I love the holiday season. Since we usually only spend the first half of the month in NYC — our family is in Florida — I try to make the most out of it. The reason my posts have been sporadic is that we’ve been in the middle of moving apartments, right smack dab in the middle of Thanksgiving, a friend’s wedding, and now Christmas. We still don’t have internet, so right now I’m using my phone as a hotspot while simultaneously listening to the *NSYNC Christmas album and looking at my beautiful Christmas tree, so I’m feeling pretty good. It may seem silly to buy a tree when you only have a couple of weeks to enjoy it, but that was my first priority in my new place. Amidst the chaos and endless boxes, it’s so nice to have this beautiful, cheerful tree to enjoy.

Now, back to my outfit. When I think back to how comically large so many of my bags have been and how heavy they were, it’s kind of funny to see me with progressively smaller and smaller ones. ThisĀ Cuyana mini saddle bagĀ is a perfectly petite cross body (my favorite style) that fits just enough things that I can’t stuff it full of wrappers and receipts and 17 lipsticks. I think that’s why I prefer smaller bags, because it keeps me from hoarding literal garbage and excessive beauty products. The flats are new and came at the perfect time, because how can I say no to a holiday velvet flat? Honestly, I’ll wear them any day, but right now they feel extra magical.

Coury (of @Fancytreehouse) said “Hands up if you never want Christmas to come so that it can be Christmastime forever.”Ā and I couldn’t agree more. The season is the best part, and I really wish we could convince everyone to keep the holiday cheer goingĀ at least through January to get us through the bleaker parts of winter. I can do December winters all day, every day.
