Spring never hangs around quite long enough, but I guess that’s why it feels so special. The blooms this year were out of this world. Even the tiny, potted tree on our terrace was covered in pink petals! I made an effort to enjoy the Spring blooms as much as possible, this year — last year, I pretty much missed the whole thing.
I feel like I missed a lot last year — I had the best of intentions, but life got in the way. It was a pretty hectic year; it just felt like we could never catch a break and there was always some sort of crisis we were trying to navigate. This year, I’m looking forward to the little things I missed last year, like beach days in the summer and apple picking in the fall. We also have some fun plans like a mini trip to Maine, having the kids for a week or so, a weekend trip with friends, and of course, my best friend is getting married! I’m actually in LA right now, because I threw her bridal shower this weekend — and I’ll be back for the bachelorette party sometime soon. It felt like we had forever to plan these things, but now that the shower is over, I’m realizing it’s all coming up very soon. Isn’t it crazy how quickly time flies?
