3 Documentaries You Should Watch Right Now!

Hi everyone, Iā€™m Keikoā€™s friend Holly! Ever since I got my MoviePass, I have been watching a lot more documentaries in theaters. And this year there have been so many great new documentaries, I wanted to share my favorites that I think everyone will enjoy. I chose two that were inspiring and uplifting and one that has one of the most fascinating real-life stories I’ve ever come across.

Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

Did you grow up watchingĀ Mister Rogers’Ā Neighborhood? This is a wonderful, feel-good documentary about the life of Mr. Rogers and his quest to help educate children. I remember watching Mr. Rogers when I was a kid, but I didn’t realize how progressive his programming was until watching this documentary. This behind the scenes look at his life and career warms your heart and makes you miss the days of your youth! (Make sure you bring tissues, this documentary is a tear-jerker!)

RBG

Whether or not you are a fan of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, you need to watch this documentary now! This movie takes a pretty comprehensive look at her entire career from the beginnings of her childhood to her time on the Supreme Court. The start of her law career made me even moreĀ impressed by her legacy.Ā Although, my favorite part of this documentary is the fact that they address the pop culture icon RBG has become!

If you’re feeling a little hopeless in this political climate, go watch this documentary! It’ll give you a little more hope & lift your spirits.

Three Identical Strangers

Ever since I saw the preview for this movie, I’ve been waiting eagerly for its premiere! This documentary is the fascinating tale of three brothers, identical triplets, who were separated at birth. The story follows their journey in discovering each other, reconnecting, and finding out why they were separated. There are twists and turns in this story that will shock you (I loudly said “What!” multiple times during the movie.)

I don’t want to give anything away, but this documentary is an emotional rollercoaster. You don’t want to miss this one!
