Happy Halloween from Carl Fredricksen, Russell, and the house from Up. Dug must be around here, somewhere…he probably got distracted by a squirrel. But has anyone seen Kevin?!

I decided I wanted to dress as the house from Disney / Pixar’s Up, because seven costumes isn’t nearly enough. Of course, I decided this at the last minute and while I was very sick, so it was looking like my plan was not going to happen. I just wasn’t up to “building” a wearable cardboard house. Well, luckily I have a very nice boyfriend who helped me work on it the day before I wanted to wear it, since I waited so long to start. After we started the initial crafting, I had to leave for an event, and when I came home, it was all done! So, I cut out some cardboard and paper but Bobby really put it all together. I also made Miku’s Russell costume that same night. The yellow shirt was an Amazon find, but everything else is just fashioned from felt. I sewed a little hat, a bandana and badge sash, and then made a little Wilderness Explorers flag. You know I love a last minute costume, and considering this was thrown together in just a day, I’m thrilled with how it turned out. And it’s all thanks to Bobby!
