Our Christmas Home Decor

My grandma was always into Christmas home decor, and while she has a more refined, less maximalist taste than me, there was one particular thing that she did that I always wanted to copy: she’d take down her framed art and cover it in wrapping paper and a bow. Though I decorated last year, I went a little over the top this year — and this was before I added more lights and wrapped the poles in ribbon to make them look like candy canes. It just makes me happy.

I swapped out normal flower arrangements for faux holiday ones in my vintage cat planters, decorated my lion statue, added festive garland everywhere, put out my Christmas pillows, set up a starry projector in my room — you name it. It puts me in the holiday spirit, all day and every day. What’s your holiday decorating style?
